Painting up a new team: Morticians - Silence

Image
Hello Guild Ballers! Yes, he's finaly here, the player you just can't play without in morticians, or so the story goes.  I figured I'd bring him in last since I have to go Silent after that.  I own no more models than this.  For my tournament 8 I'm thinking of bringing Fangtooth or A&G (Avarisse and Greede).  But I did order the starter set ... This part of the blog will be updated over time rather than me putting a second page up with the progress... Priming - first touches of the brush + basic basing work: Update :

Painting up a new team: Morticians - Casket

Image
Hello Guild Ballers! Casket Time!  This is the part of painting the Morticians where Casket gets his lick of paint.  Nothing better than the casket itself to put the yellow ribbons on! Step one: give the model (not the casket) a lick of white paint: Steps 2 - X : Put some paint on the model - stick the coffin on his back: I will be updating this post rather than putting up a second page.  Keep your eyes peeled! UPDATED Pictures: Bob out.

Game 26,5 - Stress, arm pit ponds and bad decisions

Game 26,5 - Stress, arm pit ponds and bad decisions   Tapper VS Ox The setting: As I was home alone on a sunday afternoon I put out word : 'I'm available for a game of guild ball between 1h30 and 4h in the afternoon.'  I couldn't stay longer since I had nightshifts and had to pick up a colleague on the way to work.  The reply came in and I had a date with a married woman (yes, to play guild ball). After the first few activations I was struggling with myself.  I wanted to remain calm and pleasant, yet also wanted to finish the game.  And at the pace we were playing, no way we would get there...  Hence the stress, the pools of smelly sweat and my hasty brainfart(s). My opponent was the same one I played in my 14th game, well that was more like a demo. (read up about it here ) So I didn't want to play super competitive yet.  Isa told me she wanted more game-experience to grow in the game.  And let's all be honest, you learn better whi...

Game 26 - Does the brew bring any Honour to the game?

Game 26 - Does the brew bring any Honour to the game?   Tapper VS Honour The setting: This time our local pundit organized a tournament of sorts.   18 players, all Thunderbolts Gent members, divided in 3 groups play against eachother.  One game per opponent.  Results will (hopefully) put you into a play-off when the group-games have finished.  And in the end winner will take all! First group has : 1 Masons player, 1 hunters player, 2 Alchemists, 1 mortician and a butcher. Second group has:  2 Alchemists, 1 Union, 1 Morticians, 1 Fishermen and 1 Engineers player. Last group has: 1 Masons player, 1 Morticians player, 2 Butchers, 1 Alchemist and me as a brewer. Each group has some beginners and some more advanced players. (I'm counting myself in the more advanced players group.) As you can see Alchemists are popular, so are Morticians and Butchers. Then comes Masons, the sole hunter, fishermen, union, engineers and me as the brewer. We pl...

Painting up a new team: Morticians - Ghast

Image
Hello Guild Ballers! Still working on my morticians; here we'll cover Ghast.  Ghast with the yelow mask.  Let's look at what he had to endure after being poked with a brush for several hours, I'm still not pleased with where I ended up as I was a bit clumsy with the white. He's a mix of greys, all the metal parts are pure leadbelcher.  I used seraphim sepia on the blade for a dirty look. and also hit the chain with it.  If I was more confident I'd put some black lines on the mask to create the illusion of veins a bit.  But I'm not, so I'll see what I'll do there.  The Morticians's symbols also got some yellow on them. As with all my previous morticians mini's the base is still a work in progress. Updated Pictures:
