Hello Guild Ballers, As I have played Brewers for most of my games I felt the need for something else.  And frankly I'm still looking for something else, not to replace my Brewers but to expand my gaming experience.  I have dabbled in most guilds by now, allas most of these paddling sessions went unrecorded, all but this one game where I pilot the fishermen (be it poorly) against a Masons team. I will not write up a turn by turn report, but instead I'll guide you to this video I've put up on youtube...  It's me playing a game of guild ball.   The footage of this game is so old I'm sure if it were bread it'd be stale and moldy. Still I hope you get some enjoyment out of it and I hope to find the time to do more of these video's. Hello everybody! As life has gotten to me I couldn't find the time to report back on my games... I still do, however, play guild ball! And I still work on my mini's.  Not as a pro painter, but I at least get to work on them now and again... Let's take a look shall we? Masons Currently on my table are two Masons; Mr.  Hammer and Tower Alchemists Finished now (but forgot to take a picture after the rim of the base was 'blackened') are 2 Alchemists (well, 1,5) Since our beloved Compound plays for Engineers too.  A Guild I should paint up this year, hopefully... Hello Guild Ballers! I'm here to tell you about how I did in our local tournament.  My heart wasn't really into it for some reason.  As you may have noticed by my lack of posting on my blog here.  Still, I love Guild Ball!  And I'm sorry to keep you waiting (the few of you that come and read this ;-) ) Preparation: I got up early and drove up to the venue to arrive before opening time.  I started reading the paper and was let in moments later as the TO arrived with one of the shop owners. I helped a little to set up the tables and greeted old friends from other clubs untill the TO called out for match-ups for round 1: Game one ( my game 57) vs Christoph Moons : 0 - 12 Brewers vs Alchemists (Smoke) I fielded Tapper - Scum - Stave - Hooper - Mash - Stoker. For some reason I wanted to pull of a play with Mash and Stave pushing a model 8" of the board.  I got so drawn into this that I didn't pay attention to what was going on at all on the boa...

Hello Guild Ballers! Welcome to what I hope will be the last 2 games without much detail! I played on the clock against Tom Lacore, our new pundit.  I brought my camera hoping to film the games, saving me some brain-muscle-exercises, but Tom wasn't sure he wanted to hit the world wide web.  So I didn't film and now I can't remember what happened ... For our first game he wanted to beat me desperatly and I wasn't about to let that happen, but it did... Game 55: Brewers Vs Engineers 6-12 (6-8 then I clocked out and failed to make it more than that.) He played a Pin-Vise team and wanted to play against Esters. I believe I had 3 take-outs and had to swallow 3 goals.  I did attempt to go for a goal, but didn't even get to kick.  Engineers were cutting off every player creeping up within range to shoot.  Then after I was clocked out I was setting up for another goal with my first activation (6-9) His player blocked any attempt to make that succesful so I had ...

Hello Guild Ballers!! Today I'm proud to present you with an awesome paint job, done by our local pundit Robin.  I asked him to paint my fishermen for me, and he obliged. After a long period of time he filled my bag up while I was playing a game: this is what I found when I came home and unpacked: Shark - Ball - Salt: Greyscales, Angel and Jac: Kraken and Siren: You can see how good a painter Robin is.  Only problem I have now is: Tentacles!!  The mascot wasn't out yet when I asked Robin to paint my team up but I am determined to give it a go myself!  As it stands, the octopus is only wearing some primer: Sakana - Tentacles (primed) - Corsair That's all Folks! Hello Guild Ballers, Yes!  It is the time of the week where I tell you about what happened in my guild ball life.  I faced Fish for you this past week. After a busy day at home I rushed over towards Gent where my local suplier of Guild Ball crack is located.  I can tell you without shame that it was top notch stuff... I really got my dose of fun. I was keen on trying out S3 A&G or Harry.  But since I was facing a fishy team I opted to go with A&G, in my minds eye I figured the extra tackle result with Greede attached would come in handy.  Boy was I wrong!  Or rather, I didn't position A&G very well to (ab)use this tactic.  Nor did I read the playbook of either player very well...  Tackling with Greede alone is a hard thing to do as it turns out. Game 6 Hello Guild Ballers, Last week I had 2 quick games in succession of eachother, this is the second. I played my brewers and challenged the TO of ‘Take a Breather’ to come and prep me for his tournament.   Thank you Dries Haemhouts for coming over and playing against me!   I had a blast.   Next time we’ll crack open the whiskey!! For the 2 nd game Dries asked me if I wanted to play against his Fishermen.   Not having seen them in action yet, knowing they would probably score faster than I could say ‘do you want another Duvel?’ I accepted and we had it on!
