Hello Guild Ballers! Welcome back to my blog where I will shortly touch on 2 games I played this evening. In the morning I packed up all my guild ball and left for work.  No Idea what I was going to field later that evening, I asked the interwebs over social media ( Facebook ) what the worst 6-man team (guild only, so no union) was that they could think of.   (Also hinting at not pitching farmers (As I don't own them + all reapers = no fun to be had), Hunters (as they are unassembled and unpainted) or Blacksmiths (since I left the handy 6-man box at home - unpainted). Hello Guild Ballers! I'm here to tell you about how I did in our local tournament.  My heart wasn't really into it for some reason.  As you may have noticed by my lack of posting on my blog here.  Still, I love Guild Ball!  And I'm sorry to keep you waiting (the few of you that come and read this ;-) ) Preparation: I got up early and drove up to the venue to arrive before opening time.  I started reading the paper and was let in moments later as the TO arrived with one of the shop owners. I helped a little to set up the tables and greeted old friends from other clubs untill the TO called out for match-ups for round 1: Game one ( my game 57) vs Christoph Moons : 0 - 12 Brewers vs Alchemists (Smoke) I fielded Tapper - Scum - Stave - Hooper - Mash - Stoker. For some reason I wanted to pull of a play with Mash and Stave pushing a model 8" of the board.  I got so drawn into this that I didn't pay attention to what was going on at all on the boa...

Hello Guild Ballers! Welcome to what I hope will be the last 2 games without much detail! I played on the clock against Tom Lacore, our new pundit.  I brought my camera hoping to film the games, saving me some brain-muscle-exercises, but Tom wasn't sure he wanted to hit the world wide web.  So I didn't film and now I can't remember what happened ... For our first game he wanted to beat me desperatly and I wasn't about to let that happen, but it did... Game 55: Brewers Vs Engineers 6-12 (6-8 then I clocked out and failed to make it more than that.) He played a Pin-Vise team and wanted to play against Esters. I believe I had 3 take-outs and had to swallow 3 goals.  I did attempt to go for a goal, but didn't even get to kick.  Engineers were cutting off every player creeping up within range to shoot.  Then after I was clocked out I was setting up for another goal with my first activation (6-9) His player blocked any attempt to make that succesful so I had ...

Hello Guild Ballers! Welcome back to my blog and bare with me for 4 more games, 2 of them will be mentioned here...  I took pictures of game 53 against Tom Lacore our new pundit in Gent.  He wanted to get punished by Tapper again and that is indeed what happened.  I opted to give another union player a go in the name of Harry the Hat.  I did like him, especially with rising anger, but I only got momentum from it twice.  I don't remember specifics about the game other than it was a very close game.  I also got some fragments back from looking at the picture below: In the above picture you can see I was farming momentum off Collosus, softening him up with Friday and getting Momentum with Harry.  I believe it is ratchet you see up there attempting to split us up. I know I'm behind on my match reports...  so far behind I have no recollection of some of the events...  But today I'll be catching up!  I had some notes, written down previously of my 50th game, so this might be an ok read...  Expect the quality to go down after this report though... I attended the 'The New Years Brawl Ball ' (15th of january 2017).  How I did there is the subject of everything below.  The matchreports will probably not be as detailed as my other reports since lack of notes (playing on a timer and all that). Hello Guild Ballers, Yes!  It is the time of the week where I tell you about what happened in my guild ball life.  I faced Fish for you this past week. After a busy day at home I rushed over towards Gent where my local suplier of Guild Ball crack is located.  I can tell you without shame that it was top notch stuff... I really got my dose of fun. I was keen on trying out S3 A&G or Harry.  But since I was facing a fishy team I opted to go with A&G, in my minds eye I figured the extra tackle result with Greede attached would come in handy.  Boy was I wrong!  Or rather, I didn't position A&G very well to (ab)use this tactic.  Nor did I read the playbook of either player very well...  Tackling with Greede alone is a hard thing to do as it turns out. Today I'll be covering my game against Tom Lacore who piloted his Engineers against me using S3-rules for the first time. I had some adjustments made to my way of thinking before heading over to the venue in the form of 4 brews of my favourite golden liquor. (Duvel) So some memories are blanked out and had to be filled in with possible truths. I am in no way trying to mislead you guys by making stuff up on purpose, but as I had the memory of a goldfish that night I can't promise my recital will be 100% acurate. Hello Guild Ballers, We're back with a game report this week and we'll be covering a match between my brewers and our local pundit Robin piloting a band of Butchers. A little birdy wispered in our pundits ear that butchers could play football.  I have no idea how much the little bird is to blame for the line-up fielded across the table from me: Fillet - Truffles - Boiler - Meathook - Shank - vBrisket I took out Tapper for the first time since S3 kicked in: Tapper - Scum - Hooper - Mash - Friday - Hemlocke I fielded my players and took out some sheets of paper to take notes.  But as it turns out I missed several activations and had to fill them out on my form 3-4 activations later.  I found it was interupting my gameplay and am not sure if I'll keep this method alive for very long.  It should give you, however, a more accurate (well) look on the game as I noted how much influence the players got. * The Game: After putting some terrain on the board...
