Hello Guild Ballers! Welcome back to my blog where I will shortly touch on 2 games I played this evening. In the morning I packed up all my guild ball and left for work.  No Idea what I was going to field later that evening, I asked the interwebs over social media ( Facebook ) what the worst 6-man team (guild only, so no union) was that they could think of.   (Also hinting at not pitching farmers (As I don't own them + all reapers = no fun to be had), Hunters (as they are unassembled and unpainted) or Blacksmiths (since I left the handy 6-man box at home - unpainted). Hello Guild Ballers, As I have played Brewers for most of my games I felt the need for something else.  And frankly I'm still looking for something else, not to replace my Brewers but to expand my gaming experience.  I have dabbled in most guilds by now, allas most of these paddling sessions went unrecorded, all but this one game where I pilot the fishermen (be it poorly) against a Masons team. I will not write up a turn by turn report, but instead I'll guide you to this video I've put up on youtube...  It's me playing a game of guild ball.   The footage of this game is so old I'm sure if it were bread it'd be stale and moldy. Still I hope you get some enjoyment out of it and I hope to find the time to do more of these video's. Hello Guild Ballers! Finally I'm back!  Forgive my abscence...  I have the perfect excuse!  I didn't play guild ball! Instead I filmed a game, and in my abscence here I worked on editing the footage of that!  Want to see? Read on ! On januari the first I witnessed a game of guild ball, Civil War.  Both coaches in our 'little league' finals play the Masons guild.  So they made an agreement : 'We'll field every player only once.'  And that's what they did. The idea was welcomed with enthousiasme in our gaming club and I offered to film the whole thing. (Having 2 GoPro's and a Sony camera at my disposal) Little did I  know what a mountain of work making a video (hopefully worth watching) is!! Hello Guild Ballers! As you know I am not the best painter out there. I bought Nobby's Masons AGES ago and tried to match Brick to the color scheme. Nobby's work: They came with some union, but I did not add them into the picture. (Minx, Decimate & Snakeskin) My Work on Brick: And finished next to one of Nobby's for comparison:  That's all folks! Game 26 - Does the brew bring any Honour to the game?   Tapper VS Honour The setting: This time our local pundit organized a tournament of sorts.   18 players, all Thunderbolts Gent members, divided in 3 groups play against eachother.  One game per opponent.  Results will (hopefully) put you into a play-off when the group-games have finished.  And in the end winner will take all! First group has : 1 Masons player, 1 hunters player, 2 Alchemists, 1 mortician and a butcher. Second group has:  2 Alchemists, 1 Union, 1 Morticians, 1 Fishermen and 1 Engineers player. Last group has: 1 Masons player, 1 Morticians player, 2 Butchers, 1 Alchemist and me as a brewer. Each group has some beginners and some more advanced players. (I'm counting myself in the more advanced players group.) As you can see Alchemists are popular, so are Morticians and Butchers. Harmony busted open te door.  Hammer, sitting with his back to the door, didn’t flinch, yet seemed to know who just came flying in.  “So, what news, did your sister manage to claim Victory without me?” Harmony was crying.  “She did.” She sobbed. This made Hammer turn towards her. “Whats the matter girl?” “The bear ate away at her, her legs are smashed, mauled!  No way she’s going to play guild ball any time soon!”  Harmony flung herself around Hammers neck sobbing away at his chest, hiding her face as he raised from his chair. “I’ll go talk to the guildmaster then.” Hammer said “I’ll seek out the one who did it and I promise you, Harmony, We’ll bury a sledgehammer in their skull.  Tell me about it.”  Hammer pushed Harmony away, grabbing her by the shoulders and holding her at arms length.  In between blowing her nose and sobbing away Harmony told Hammer of what had gone down on the pitch. ...
