An Alternate Future, Season X - Part One Seamstresses

A big read for you guys next where there is to be some fan fiction flavour fluf! AND some players to go along with it!  Hope you enjoy the read and the players!  This is only part one of my fan fiction, I have more !!

Let’s not delay this any further and kick off with the story!


An alternate Future, Season X:

Part one: Seamstresses


“Hello luv.” The voice startled Friday as she was smiling behind her cup of beer enjoying the story Spigot was telling for the hundredth time over.  The crowd always laughed it up, no matter how many times they’ve heard it before.  Some would even join in and almost sing the pointers together before bursting out in laughter, swinging the beer mugs high in the air, hands over each other’s shoulders in camaraderie. 

She swung round and took a defensive stance towards this new customer she hadn’t seen come in. “At ease, luv, I’m not here to harm you.” Friday didn’t relax her posture and glared at the hooded figure speaking.  She couldn’t make out whether the voice belonged to a male or female for it was nothing more than a whisper.  No curves in the body gave the sex away either, a big cloak took away every curve of the individual.  Slender, and very sleight of hand and sneaky, Friday was pondering who this person was but had no time to think about it for too long.  The figure turned towards the bar and rested his elbows on the counter crossing the arms in front of him.  “I have a proposition for you, luv.  Want to hear me out?” Friday matched the pose and turned towards the bar.  “Only over a beer, hun.” She replied.

As it is, the messenger came as a spokesman for the seamstresses who were hoping to recruit Friday as their Guild Ball captain.  They needed somebody who had the right skills to coach a team and also somebody that would keep the girls in check.  As nobody wanted to be blamed for playing at favouritism they had opted to recruit a captain out of the Guild.  Friday was the logical choice. Her background was pretty similar to what many of the girls had to endure and she had risen to make something out of herself, so many of the girls looked up at her already.  Friday would be respected by all and stop the quarrel that was going on over who should be the captain of the team.

“Give it some thought, luv.  Come play at the training grounds next week and see for yourself if the team is worth your eff’erts.”  The figure held out the cup invitingly in front of him.  She hit it with hers after the person agreed to her terms: “Stop calling me ‘luv’ and you have a deal, hun.” As a broad smile appeared on the face in front of her she recognized who it was.  “Spigot you rat!  Are you playing me?”  She looked around her and didn’t spot Spigot anywhere, she was sure he was telling his tale just now…  The other customers were still having the final chuckles over it.  “Oh no lu… Friday, I am not! Come to the training grounds and you’ll see!”  As Friday turned back with every intention of pulling the hood off him to make sure it was him, Spigot... She was surprised to see he was gone.

Heartbroken Spigot was, after learning Hemlocke was pregnant with Tappers Child.  “They’d still be friends” She said, but that wasn’t much comfort.  Spigot got better comfort with the ladies in his favourite brothel.  And that’s where he was approached.  He agreed to play for the team, but only if Friday would be allowed in.  He got more than he wished for.  He was asked to make her captain.  He was keen on finding out if she’d take the deal.  If so he’d be all to glad to play for the Seamstresses, wearing a big hood and mask of course, under the pseudonym ‘Customer’ hiding his true identity from the crowd.

Hit ‘em Galls!: Cost: 2/GBGB – Range 8” – sustained: Y
All friendly guild models within range that are engaging an enemy model immediately deal  [1] DMG to the model or models they are engaging and may make a 1” dodge.  The enemy models also suffer from the poison condition. This Character play may only be used once per turn.
Character Traits:

Charmed: [Male and or Brewers]
This model gains [+1] DEF against each Attack or Character Play made against it by the named model type. (this stacks if the model type fits both requirements)

Football Legend [4” Aura]
While within this aura friendly models gain [+1/+1”] KICK.
Close Control:
Once per turn this model may ignore the first Tackle Playbook result against it.

Heroic Play:
Regroup:
Up to two friendly models outside of 6” of this model may immediately make a dodge up to its base move towards this model.

Meet: Customer - Seamstresses:


After the enemy models have been chosen replace the player card from Customer with any of the following player cards excluding player cards of any model used by the opposing player:
[Veteran Spigot, Flint, Boar, Silence, Chaska]  For the remainder of the game this card reads as a friendly guild member towards the Seamstresses.

The first time the hit model deals damage to a friendly guild model you may place this model in base contact with the model that suffered the damage.  This model may then make an attack against that model if able. This Character Play may only be used once per turn.

Enemy plays that cause damage to, or playbook damage results that hit this model are reduced by [-1] DMG.
To the rescue:
Once per turn when an enemy model ends it’s activation while engaging a friendly female model, this model may make a jog directly towards the enemy model ignoring obstructions and/or rough terrain.  If this jog places the model on top of an obstruction that it is unable to stand on, use the rule of least disturbance to place the model.  Then, if able, this model may make an attack.

When this model suffers the taken-out condition as the result of an enemy Attack or Play, the friendly team gains [2] MP and for the remainder of the turn friendly models gain [+2] TAC and [+2” /+2”] MOV.
