Finishing up Fangtooth

Image
Hello Guildballers! I found some free time (an hour) to finish up Fangtooth. Here's the pictures (Nexus 5x as camera): What do you guys think? Should I move on to my next model? (thinking about Rage) Or come back in here and there to touch things up? If it's up to me (and it is isn't it) I'm going to varnish this stage and move on.  It is table-top and will be played so I don't want to overdo it...

What is Guild Ball?

Hello Non-Guild-Ballers! Hello Guild Ballers, welcome to read on! Some people come on here through a link I put up on social media, not knowing what Guild Ball is. But the human nature is to be curious, so here you are looking at what I'm willing to share with you. What is Guild Ball? Guild Ball is a tabletop Football game in a medieval fantasy setting created by Steamforged .  The object is to gain Victory Points and race your opponent to be the first to earn 12 of them.  You can do this by scoring goals, as you would expect from a football game.  One goal earns you 4 victory points (VP in short).  What is more out of the ordinary is that you can score VP by 'killing' a player from the opposite team.  When you 'kill' an 'enemy' model it suffers the 'Taken Out' condition, earning you 2 VP. What is unique about this talbe top game is that it uses no squares, hexagons or any other form of 'boxes' to move in.  You measure your distances

Creating terrain – Table and stools

Part 1 Hello Guild Ball Players! No guild ball match report this week, sorry…   I was a bit occupied this week and didn’t get a chance to play guild ball.   (So little time, so much to do) I did have my first game of Warhammer 40K playing Tyranids for 1000 points worth, so it’s not that I didn’t have any spare time to play games in.   I had this 'lesson' lined up for a longer time so it had to be done (and I had fun doing it!)  I was looking to play some Guild Ball this week, but family comes first and I had to focus my attention there.   What I did do is start on a piece of terrain for my brewers team.   I picked up some barrels and figured I would put them to use in creating some terrain. This is my first attempt ever at making terrain, so it might turn out to be a big failure.   Still if mistakes are to be made, you can witness my idiotic clumsiness and learn with me to not make the same ones in the future… I started of with the Idea of making a t

Painting up Fangtooth

Hello Guildballers, I started painting up a Union Player... Meet Fangtooth #WIP: No Paint on me yet...  Ok, I know there is still some work to be done.  Specially on the base. Took these pictures with my Nexus 5x So let us know what you think... On a side note, I didn't get to play any matches this week, so forgive me for not putting up a match-report UPDATE: Picture of Fangtooth underneath with painted base next to Hemlocke That's all folks! Game 2 - Brewers with a vengeance

Game 2 Brewers again, same opponent;   the engineers.  We had to bring an early end to the game due to closing of the store / opponent had to leave. I used the same line-up as in my previous game: Tapper – Scum – Hooper – Spigot – Mash – Stave Tom’s line-up: Ballista – Mainspring – Ratchet – Salvo – Velocity - Colossus – Again I failed to take notes + some rules had to be looked up.   We didn’t feel like we were playing slowly but we went in over 4 hours…- Kickoff: I made the Engineers kick.   Velocity got the ball and kicked it to the right. Turn 1 *Hooper sprints up to get the ball, and passes it to Mash. 1MP for brewers. *Ballista gives mainspring second wind and comes up middle field, nobody within reach. *Mash Jogs up the field and passes to spigot, but fails the pass.   Luckily enough the ball scatters within 1’’ of spigot and snaps to him. *Colossus comes on the field somewhat centred *Spigot sprints forwards, passes to Tapper who uses t
