Game 37: Esters Take II

Image
Game 37: Esters Take II For my second game with Esters I'm playing into the Masons under Wouter Raes.  We fuel up with some Duvel and get cracking. Wouter's line up: Honour, Marbles, Harmony, Tower, Flint and Mallet. I go with: Esters, Scum, Hooper, Mash, Stave and Friday. I have to kick and opt for Stave (could've been Esters, went back and forth on that Idea, but Stave was it.) The ball ended up on the right side of the mid field against a little wall (obstruction). First turn: *Tower snaps the ball and kicks it towards Flint. *Scum (0 INF) shows that cats can dance and with no influence does a mean impression of the lambada. (she shuffles in front of the goal) * Flint activates and does nothing of importance that I remember, he does get the ball to honour. * Hooper (also 0 INF) goes a bit closer to the middle of the field. *The monkey walks up the field. Drops a brown cone to scoop up and fling it at somebody next turn. *Stave looks funny at the posit

Painting up a new team: Morticians - Cosset

Image
Hello Guild Ballers! Cosset, a player that doesn't see much play I heard.  I'm going to take her! She's got these ribbons flying out so vibrantly screaming for the yelow to be put on there, I was complacent.

Game 36: Breaking Esters virginity hurts a little - but it was fun!

Playing against the Butchers and losing again. As my last game in the league I faced Ox and his minions again. Piloted by non other than Jeroen (you don't know him guys, and if you do, you're one of the lucky ones). Here's the story of how the ugliness went down: Shortly after I enter the venue at the WEC and order my brew, as is accustomed by now, I'm greeted by Wouter (the Masons player on my blog) We talk for a bit and as it turns out I'm talked into trying something new: ESTERS (well, new to me at least - and talked into is exaggerated, I had planned on playing her before, I just didn't get around to it yet)   So here's the line-ups: My female led brewers: Esters, Scum, Friday, Spigot, Mash and Stoker.  Who faced these meat-lovers: Ox, Princess, Boiler, Brisket, Boar, Minx  Let the games begin:  I win the roll and decide to receive.   Turn 1:  * Stoker goes in and picks up the ball, passes it to Mash (who has no influence)

Game 35: A "no lube" introduction to Tapper

Game 35: A "no lube" introduction to Tapper Hello Guild Ballers! My oath to never underestimate my opponents again is stil valid. So I might have gone a bit hard on Zoë, I apologize…   In my defense it was my 4 th Little League game so I had to play for the win! Zoë is one of the hardworking   staffmembers of the venue where most of my games are played : The WEC . She only played some 3 vs 3 games and hoped to play some 6 vs 6 games (or at least one) before playing me.   Unfortunatly, h er back ache decided otherwise - She had to cancel 2 games prior to mine. Zoë has a morticians team, painted up by herself, and I must admit she has more talent than me in the painting area. (This isn’t a compliment really since I have no skill at all, but still her models were beautifully painted – at least the ones that had paint on them :-p )  -  you'll spot the metal unpainted ones in the pictures below. - Nice to add is that she magnetized the arm for Ghast. Game 34 - Brewers in the meatgrinder, again...

Hello Guild Ballers! We're back with another report.  My 2nd game against Jona. Jona who gave me yet another pounding... Beforehand I told myself not to go toe to toe with the butchers. They fight better than the brewers do, so ... STAY AWAY ... and play football. In my head I had the idea of taking spigot and Friday along a flank.  Making her usefull with (tooled up) dirty knives from a distance if needed. Scum would stay behind as far as Tapper would allow him - with the option to either go in for a kill under commanding aura late in the turn where I could shadowlike away next turn into safety OR to get called over by Friday holding the ball for a goal attempt. Hooper and Mash would help control the middle with the 2" melee + engaging the butchers as far from eachother as possible.  So with that plan in mind I fielded exactly the forementioned players: Tapper - scum - Spigot - Hooper - Mash - Friday Jona fielded his Butchers: Ox - Princess - Brisket -
