A new brewer to play with: Malt

Image
Meet Malt: a new fragment of my imagination: Hello Guild Ballers!  Welcome back to my blog for yet another read! This time I've cooked up yet another brewer player for you to take a look at. He's a real drunk but he is allowed on the pitch cause he can keep any one player busy enough to make the other team really work for that player to be able to do anything, or ignore him and play a 5vs5 game...  He thrives on alcohol and that shows in his plays, be carefull he doesn't vomit all over you though... Malt: 30mm - 1" melee - male - 12 HP MOV : 3/6 TAC: 5 KICK 2/6 DEF: 2 ARM: 3 INF: 1/2 Character Plays: Staggering: Cost 1/ - Range: S Whenever this model suffers a push, at the end of the push, if he is no longer engaged you can place this model in base to base with a model within 3".  Whenever this model pushes another model he MUST follow up the push result directly towards the model he pushed for the same amount of inches. Swaying: Cost 1 -

The totally unfair and biassed Referee guided guild ball league. Sponsored by Duvel! (or rather you guys, buying me Duvel) Hello Guild Ballers! Welcome to yet another unofficial piece of Guild Ball.  This time I will give you the rules I added to our local League I am about to launch!  Feel free to 'borrow' as much or as little as you like to set up your own referee guided guild ball league! Here goes!! Ladies and Gentlemen, it has happened!!  There is a town where Guild Ball supporters have been going at each others throats resulting in things getting out of hand on the pitch.  10 people died and the ball itself was stolen as a trofee by unknown thugs.  As a sollution to prevent future violent outbreakes, the mayor of the town opted to add an additional set of rules.. . "All Guild Ball supporters caught fighting will be executed on the spot" "On the pitch: Every action whilst engaging an enemy player will be subjected to the objective o

The Rusty Cup: Part Two - Travelin'

Hello Guild Ballers, Thursday the 23rd As I remember it was a nice afternoon, I geared up, loaded everything in my motorcycle only to get gutpunched by the inevitable: My 8 bottles of Duvel don't fit !!! I tried rearranging but ended putting them back in the storage room of our house.  I started the engine and started the 2 hour drive towards Calais. About half way I noticed my tankbag wasn't there.  Swearing loudly in my helmet I tried figuring out where I had left it...  In my home! (I hoped - and later it turned out to be. At least I didn't lose it along the road)  In it was my 2 GoPro's and a Sony camera - no filming during games or driving - nor visiting York. Ah well... I'll live. I arrived a bit sooner than I expected at Calais Port and they allowed me to get on the next ship allowing me to get 1 hour ahead on my scheduele!  First time I had to secure my motorcycle on a ship, it didn't go wrong, so hey, finally things started going my way! The Rusty Cup: Part one - Preparation

The Rusty Cup: Part one - Preparation Brewers, who do I bring to a tournament and who would I look to field... Hello Guild Ballers! This is my preparation for the York Tournament.  I will not be putting this up untill the event has started and only if I get to WIFI during that time. See this as Part one of the Rusty Cup: First off I'd like to point out that I'm not the mathematics wizard.  I like to play my own game without having to worry too much about 'best choices' or statistics in general.  I play a 'fun' game first and if I happen to win, that's good! That said, you will all know Tapper is my go to captain on the brewers team.  So it should not surprise you I rarely see Esters as better.  She might be, but not in my eyes.  My perception is off, I know!  So if you don't like people thinking with their haerts rather than with the head, skip this entry and await part 2! So in stead of starting with Tapper and adding players to find a 9

Local Tournament !! Reporting in with the results

Hello Guild Ballers! I'm here to tell you about how I did in our local tournament.  My heart wasn't really into it for some reason.  As you may have noticed by my lack of posting on my blog here.  Still, I love Guild Ball!  And I'm sorry to keep you waiting (the few of you that come and read this ;-) ) Preparation: I got up early and drove up to the venue to arrive before opening time.  I started reading the paper and was let in moments later as the TO arrived with one of the shop owners. I helped a little to set up the tables and greeted old friends from other clubs untill the TO called out for match-ups for round 1: Game one ( my game 57) vs Christoph Moons : 0 - 12 Brewers vs Alchemists (Smoke) I fielded Tapper - Scum - Stave - Hooper - Mash - Stoker. For some reason I wanted to pull of a play with Mash and Stave pushing a model 8" of the board.  I got so drawn into this that I didn't pay attention to what was going on at all on the board elsew
