Hello everybody! As life has gotten to me I couldn't find the time to report back on my games... I still do, however, play guild ball! And I still work on my mini's.  Not as a pro painter, but I at least get to work on them now and again... Let's take a look shall we? Masons Currently on my table are two Masons; Mr.  Hammer and Tower Alchemists Finished now (but forgot to take a picture after the rim of the base was 'blackened') are 2 Alchemists (well, 1,5) Since our beloved Compound plays for Engineers too.  A Guild I should paint up this year, hopefully... Venin:  And Compound: (The Orange/Blue is going to be my Engineers team !)   Fishermen: I also did 2 fishmongers: Veteran Siren and Hag! Vet Siren:   Hag:  So that'll be all for now...  Hope to find time again soon...  To work on my next video...  Me playing fishe...

A Bummer for Bill

Hello folks. After a long and unnanounced vacation I have some more content for the blog. As you may or may not know steamforged organized a writing challange on their forums (It has already ended and I did not put in my final version of the story - as I left on vacation and had other life threatening issues that I had to tackle [/jk I'm fine])  Still I thought this story would be a nice piece to put up on my blog...  So here is some fluff in less than 100 words about 'a rookie', I hope you enjoy it. A Bummer for Bill: It was still early morning, Bill lay awake bathing in a pool of his own chilling sweat;  Listening to the screeching call of the rooster, commanding the sun to come up and pushing away the darkness.  But there was no pushing away the darkness in Bills head.  The war had cost him everything, his parents, his sister, his home. The nightmare that woke him up was still lingering in his head, tasting like sour vomit in the back of hi...

Meet Scoff, yet another brewer player!

Hello Guild Ballers, As this blog has become a silent resting place, mostly due to other time-consuming activities, I have not thrown it out yet. So here is another one of my ideas:  Scoff: 30mm base - 1" melee - male - 16HP MOV : 4/8 TAC: 5 KICK 2/5 DEF: 3 ARM: 1 INF: 2/3 Character plays: Smashed Shins: Cost: - Range: P Target enemy model suffers [-4/-4”] KICK. Unexpected Arrival:  Cost: - Range : S - Zone: 3" Pulse Enemy models within the pulse suffer a [4”] Push directly away from this model. Ball Hog: Cost: 1 - Range: S - OPT This model may not make a pass towards a friendly player. While being engaged or whenever a model ends an Advance in this model's melee zone, this model may make a pass action.  If the pass is successful this model may then make an advance up to his max MOV towards the ball. Character Traits: 'Ballsy' : While this model is in possession of the ball it receives [+2] TAC and [+1] DEF 'Took the bait!...

After a long while I have returned...

Hello Guild Ballers I 'm back with another post.  A Guild Ball post.  And I'm not joking here... It is nothing but a Guild BALL post... I've used the sports paper as a protective sheet between my desk and what I'm going to slap onto the ball (the ball is on the left).  Displayed (appart form the ball) is a selection of paints I'm going to use. Time to base the surface and the ball. Dryad Bark done, Agrax Earthshade is next for the texture on the ball. Picture doesn't do the shade much credit... But still, it's on there.  Next layer!  Skrag Brown. From Skrag Brown to Balor Brown (drybrushing) Balor Brown is slapped on there (well, brushed with gentle strokes...)  Time to deepen the shade with some carefully applied Nuln Oil. I also gave the rocks a little nuln oil, but not too much.  Next up: Some  highlighting?  Where does the sun come from?  Let's find out. A small area on the ball was touched....
